TrackItWeekly Inventory Import Template preview

This free spreadsheet template matches TrackItWeekly's actual bulk import format, so you can load your full item list in minutes instead of typing every item by hand. Includes step-by-step import instructions and a field guide for every column.

Why Use a Template Instead of Typing Items One by One

If you're setting up a new store or migrating from a spreadsheet, adding items one at a time in the app works, but it's slow once you're past a handful of SKUs. This template lets you build your whole item list in a familiar spreadsheet, then upload it all at once through TrackItWeekly's Import Inventory List tool.

What Columns Does the Template Include?

Category Name, Product Description, Brand, Product Number, Pack Size, UOM (unit of measure), Price, Last Purchase (qty & date), and Notes. Category Name, Product Description, and Price matter most, everything else is optional but makes counting and reordering easier down the line.

FAQ

Do I need to fill in every column?

No. Category Name, Product Description, and Price are the most useful fields to fill in. Product Number, Pack Size, UOM, and Last Purchase are optional but helpful for reordering and cross-checking against distributor invoices.

Can I use this template for multiple store locations?

Yes. Since store selection happens in the app during upload (not in the file itself), keep a separate completed template per location, or duplicate the Import Template tab for each store before uploading.

What if my Excel file won't upload?

Save the file as CSV format (File > Save As > CSV) and re-upload. CSV works most reliably for TrackItWeekly's import tool.
